Ideation Process

LP&G has combined broad strategy, research and ideation skills to provide you with a fresh, effective alternative in the ideation arena.

The KitchenThink ideation format enables companies to invest a minimum amount of time to gain maximum results. The process is concentrated into
half-day or full-day sessions, to minimize time away from the office.

Customized Sessions

The KitchenThink system is modular. The most appropriate modules are matched to each ideation project. A typical session might include:

Voice finding: relax and unwind techniques
Thought exercises: word association, phrase building, dream realization
Boundary stretch: finding new white space
Competitor positions: ideas, phrases and comparisons
Consumer groups: profiling, analysis, needs
Perfect product: teams create optimal products
Gap work: looking for gaps, unmet needs, new markets
Idea sweep: a focused review of the key ideas
Prioritization: ideas for now and for the future
Concept building: combining the best ideas to move forward

Idea Presentation

We'll prepare the results in any way you like. Sometimes a summary report is sufficient. Other times we may present ideas on an Excel spreadsheet or work with a research company to prepare the ideas for optimization or evaluation studies. We are also able to create high-quality concept boards for qualitative and quantitative research; and produce name, logo or other graphic imagery.

Fees

KitchenThink fees depend on the project's needs: the length and number of sessions, and the size of the team we bring in to work with you. To give you an idea of the investment required, a full-day session, with 6 of our research and marketing strategists, creative experts, writers, artists, or production specialists would be in the region of $5,000. That includes pre-ideation meetings, competitor research, production of ideation materials and all reports, summaries and post-ideation idea preparation.
