Spotlight Projects
XOOD - Tucson, Arizona
After dozens of letters, emails, phone calls and free samples, LP&G Public Relations Associate, Nona Patrick persuaded the editors of Outside Magazine to place XOOD in their 2009 Summer Buyer's Guide. The Buyer's Guide lists what the reviewers consider are the best outdoor products for the magazine's nearly 700,000 readers.
Hotel Fifty - Portland, Oregon
LP&G worked with this boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Portland, Oregon to attract gay and lesbian travelers from Seattle, Washington. Using highly targeted web-based media placement and internet social networks we reached this very specialized niche with an ingenious message that perfectly positioned Hotel Fifty.
UPH Tucson Breast Center
University Physicians Healthcare needed help spreading the word about the Mammopad, a new technology that makes mammograms much more comfortable and accurate. LP&G's radio campaign resulted in a substantial increase in the number of inquiries.
"Our ad was a success. In comparing April 08 to April 09 we had a 53% increase in NEW patients. Thanks again for all your help!" Toni Ward -- Clinical Operations Manager, UPH Tucson Breast Center
The Entrada Group - Zacatecas, Mexico
This offshore shelter operator wanted to boost their aerospace manufacturing presence at a major trade show in Paris. LP&G developed a full-page bilingual ad for the show's program highlighting the benefits of operating in Mexico and using the services of The Entrada Group.
LP&G is also producing a continuing series of educational podcasts featuring experts on overseas operations.
Save The Cord Foundation - Tucson, Arizona
LP&G is leveraging the social networking power of the Internet for the Save the Cord Foundation. Follow them on Twitter and join them on Facebook. LP&G also created a special section on the Save the Cord Foundation website for people to share their own touching stories about cord blood collection and use.
Hush - Tucson, Arizona
Hush Salon and Day Spa wanted to advertise on TV without breaking the bank. LP&G produced a series of five 15-second spots offering beauty tips from the experts at Hush. And Caroline, our brilliant media buyer, placed them where they would have the most impact.... during the last few weeks of American Idol.
"The TV commercials LP&G did for us helped increase our business in ways we never imagined. We're still benefiting from the brand recognition the spots provided weeks after the campaign." Kathy Basile - Co-owner of Hush Salon.

New Expertise
We've teamed up with business consultant and long-time agency friend, Jack O'Donnell. We met Jack when he was CEO of the internationally renowned Miraval spa. Now, as a consultant, Jack brings a powerful top-level perspective on operations and marketing to our clients.
Good Eats
Dave finally shared his old family recipe for Fresh Tomato Pie. Within days, half of the LP&G staff had made it with scrumptious results. And we just can't stop making it. Give it a try. (Nancy says it's best with home-grown heirloom tomatoes.)
Fresh Tomato Pie
1 pie shell of your choice
6-8 medium tomatoes - sliced 1/2 inch thick.
1/3 cup mayo or Miracle Whip
1/3 cup plain yogurt
1 garlic clove - minced
1/4 tsp salt
pepper to taste
2 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup chopped green onion
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
· Press pie shell in 9 inch pie pan. Bake shell at 400 degrees for about 10
minutes or until toasty.
· Fill pie shell with layers of tomato slices.
· Combine mayo, yogurt and garlic. Spread over tomatoes.
· Season with salt and pepper.
· Melt butter, sauté green onions. Remove from heat and mix in cheese,
parsley and bread crumbs.
· Sprinkle over tomatoes and sauce.
· Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until bread crumbs are toasted.
· Let stand at least 10 minutes before cutting.
· Great at room temperature or cold.
New LP&Gisms
Sometime in the late 90's LP&G staffers started writing down the quirky things that come out of our mouths and occasionally our clients’ mouths during the course of business. They are sometimes crude, often laced with unfathomable word plays and always completely funny. (Especially to us.) Here are a couple of the latest entries:
"I don't know any !@%$#% French! Oh, pardon my French." - Colleen 5/14/2009
"You telepathically put that in my mouth." - Cindy 5/21/09
"What do you do with an emu? Milk it?" - Leslie 7/24/09
